When everything seems more intense, more alive?” So begins the story of Palissandre Night: a sleepless night told through fragrance, by the intensity of its scents when nature is awake as the world sleeps. To stir this feeling, Alberto Morillas naturally turned to the depth and mystery of the woods. All you have to do is breathe in and let yourself be transported... 

A path at the edge of a forest. Everything is calm, peaceful. The air is cool at this hour, and a gentle breeze carries through the trees. The leaves come alive, dancing under the silvery glow of the moon. With this composition, ambrox and elemi impart a mineral, almost lunar coolness. Then, slowly, comes the aroma of the earth with a hint of humus, which rises and mixes with the essences of the trees. So many scents! Gaiac, sandalwood, patchouli: a whole forest of moss-covered trees. Dawn is still far away, and time continues its journey into the night, enveloped in captivating, woody scents. There is a desire for these moments to endure, for their nocturnal tranquility to endure as we are won over, little by little.

“I’ve always loved night and the intensity it can bring to perfumes. These moments are unique for a creator. I wanted to dive straight into the emotion. The composition should therefore be considered as a whole, written simply so that it plunges the wearer into its nocturnal, comforting mystery, where woody notes take the leading role. To evoke this feeling, I was inspired by the nuances of a fascinating wood that does not exist in the world of perfume: rosewood. And what a lovely name to be expressed by night!” Alberto Morillas
